Spectrum Connect: Identity & Pride with Art
Spectrum Connect: Where Two-Spirit, Trans, & Non-Binary Voices Unite Identity & Pride with Art 🌈 This month’s session will focus on exploring our identities and what Pride means to us through prompts (to get us thinking) and a guided art-based activity meant to help us visually represent our identity, gender journey, and who we truly are. This can be done through writing or a visual art medium like a drawing. We will also have lots of time and space for shared conversation and peer connection. All art materials will be provided by Healthy Minds Cooperative! Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have years of lived experience, you belong here.

Stories and Sparkle: An Indigenous and Pride Crafting Circle
Nova Scotia Legal Aid (NSLA) is proud to announce a very special event, Stories and Sparkle: An Indigenous and Pride Crafting Circle. Building on NSLA’s annual tradition of creating signs in advance of the Pride Parade, this event will combine hands-on crafting with engaging Indigenous storytelling. Participants will have the opportunity to design Pride posters and parade signs, as well as decorate sunglasses to wear during the parade. Throughout the evening, attendees will hear from Mi’kmaq and Two-Spirit guest speakers who will share stories and knowledge on topics such as Mi’kmaq regalia, Two-Spirit identities, and Indigenous history and culture. These presentations will provide meaningful opportunities for education, dialogue, and reflection while celebrating the diversity and resilience of Indigenous-Queer communities. This workshop is all ages and FREE! In lieu of an admission fee, please bring non-perishable food items for the Mi'kmaq Native Friendship Centre Food Bank.

Wide Open Decks
Sunday July 19, 2026 6:00pm - 9:00pm ADT
Do you wanna try DJing in the wild? You’re in luck—we are hosting a FREE ALL AGES version of their WIDE OPEN DECKS! Either bring a USB with music files on it, a laptop with Serato installed or just bring yourself to this accessible, inclusive, low-pressure learning environment. Your cheerleaders and loved ones are super welcome too. The Halifax Curling Club will have its lounge canteen open for business! This is a dry and sober-encouraged space. However, come as you are. We host hands-on heartfelt events where our loving-kindness comes from a harm reductionist, intersectional awareness-focused, and trauma-informed place. Inclusive Environments and Celebrating Differences are the standard. We believe that disabled people, queer people, gender-diverse people, women, girls, marginalized-underrepresented people and anyone who is in the Global Majority deserve to bravely reclaim music and dancing-focused spaces of joy and community because if you want to be here—know that you belong here.
