On stage at Neptune Theatre until August 30, RENT is a cultural phenomenon that is quickly turning into the show of the summer for Halifax audiences. Based loosely on Puccini's La Bohème, RENT ran for over 5,000 performances on Broadway. The show follows a year in the life of a group of young artists living a bohemian life in New York City's East Village, as they navigate love, poverty, and gentrification under the shadow of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This is a rock musical you DON'T want to miss!
